Canvas and Mirror

The sun burns through the mist at early morning on Lake Lillinonah. Two fishermen pull in to fish off the dock. At night, the moon repeats itself in the still lake. On a farm, a snow-laced tree reflects in a winter pond. Mist rises off another.

Water calls to us. It draws us. It is both a canvas and a mirror. At every time of day, in every sort of weather — at dawn, at noon, at sunset, in fog and rain and mist and on a sparkling summer day, an image awaits at the water's edge.
